The Ministry of AYUSH recognizes that there are already hundreds of thousands of yoga teachers across the world, but competence levels or quality is not assured.
In pursuance of the above and in the wake of declaration of International Day of Yoga, there is a huge demand for approved and accredited Yoga certification and experts at national and international level.
The Ministry of AYUSH identified Yoga Certification Board, The Quality Council of India to develop a Scheme for Evaluation and Yoga Certification for Yoga Professionals. This is because Yoga Certification Board has expertise in developing such quality frameworks based on international best practices and ISO standards.
The focus of this Yoga Certification Scheme is to certify the competence of Yoga teachers and professionals who provide Yoga lessons and yoga classes across the World.
